The easiest and quickest route from Athens to Monemvasia is via the highway A7 to Corinth and Tripoli. At Tripoli you take the direction for Sparta following the signs for Monemvasia. Please note that the reception of Monemvasia Village is at Villa Diamanti, on the main road of Monemvasia, at the entrance of the new town. To reach Monemvasia Village location, drive through the new town and when you see the bakery, the post office and the National Bank, you should turn right (please note that you should turn to the road BEFORE the bakery and the bank and not after the bank). You will continue uphill until the end of the road, where you will see the gate to Monemvasia Village (ex Topalti). The distance from Athens is approx. 285 km., total driving time +/- 3,5 hours.

Another option is after Corinth to take the picturesque road along the coast through Argos, Astros, and Leonidio continuing through mountain roads passing the traditional villages of Kosmas and Geraki. Follow through to Skala, Vlachiotis, Molai and finally Monemvasia. This option is considerably longer through winding mountain roads (aprox. 330 km - 5 hours from Athens) but well worth the reward, with breathtaking natural beauty of both sea views, canyon passes and the mountainous landscape.
